Terms of Use

By using mot.report, you agree to the following.

What you're buying

A £4.99 paid report is one analysis of one UK vehicle's MOT history at the time of purchase. The report is generated from publicly available DVSA and DVLA data plus our analysis layer. It is delivered as a permanent web link and a one-off email.

What the report is and isn't

The report is informational. It is not a substitute for a physical inspection, a mechanic's pre-purchase check, an HPI / finance / theft / write-off check, or any form of professional advice. We make no warranty that any specific vehicle is safe or sound to buy. Decisions you make based on the report are yours.

AI-generated content

Parts of the report (the narrative analysis sections) are produced with an AI model fed structured data from DVSA. We have engineered the system to ground its output in the actual MOT history rather than invent claims, but AI output can occasionally err. If you spot something that looks wrong, contact us.

Refunds

If a report is not generated successfully (technical error, missing DVSA data for the vehicle, etc) you are entitled to a full refund. Email us within 14 days and we will process it. Refunds for reports that did generate but did not match your expectations are at our discretion.

Acceptable use

Do not use mot.report to harass an individual, scrape vehicle data programmatically, or resell our reports as your own. Bulk or commercial use requires prior agreement.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mot.report's liability for any claim relating to a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report (typically £4.99).

Changes

We may update these terms. The version here is the current version. Last updated: 2026-04-27.
